In our latest beta we've been doing all the normal things like fixing bugs and tweaking the Queensberry order process but you can read about that in our release notes - I'm excited and I want to jump to our headline! Imagine being able to present your album online and get your clients' feedback and approval from directly within Photojunction. Photojunction has teamed up with albumexposure, the contagiously easy online album proofing tool. We've integrated things so you can register with albumexposure directly in Photojunction and upload your design from PJ to your albumexposure account in just To View More >>

On occasion you may need to send us new or edited files for an order, and I posted the other day about how to do this in Workspace. Here's how to do the same in Photojunction. Start at the Photojunction Welcome screen. Select the Uploads tab. Select the original upload for this order, so it's highlighted. Click the "More" button and select "Upload additional images". Photojunction will open up a new window to drag and drop your files into. You will be asked to give a reason for your upload. This just helps us to understand why we are receiving new files, or what to do with them. Once you have To View More >>

Hello Dears We haven't spoken for an age, but the latest Photojunction release is dear to my heart, so I thought I'd put down my knitting and tell you about it. The PJ boys are very conscious that the Problem Reporter can be frustrating, so they've added a check box which, if you want to, lets you "hide" PJ's warnings (marked with yellow triangles*) so they don't show up again. Now I wouldn't ignore automatically the problem reporter, but it can be a bit bossy sometimes, so this does feel very grown up, don't you think? A bit like the first time you realised people weren't asking you for ID any To View More >>

We're constantly reinventing Queensberry to make things better, simpler, faster and more creative. In the mid-1990s we threw away the rule book and started making our albums to order. Computer-driven mat-cutters meant our clients could design books to suit their photography, rather than making their photographs fit the books. It had never been done before. In 2000 we cut out the middle-man and began developing the world’s only worldwide door-to-door service to professional photographers. In 2001 we released Photojunction. In 2003 we were pioneers in the album printing business. (We’re still To View More >>

Since you're reading The Junction, you're probably pretty much up with the play on Photojunction, and this post won't apply to you. Here goes anyway. Maybe you can pass it on to a friend who needs it! Believe it or not there are still people out there using Photojunction Retro. If you don't know what Retro is, it's a very cool program that was state of the art five years ago, when it was replaced by Remix. All I can say is let it go. Just like Don Johnson's stubble and no socks policy in Miami Vice, it's had its day. The kindest thing you can do is put it down. Seriously, if you want up to date To View More >>

We're working hard on systems to make designing, ordering and printing your albums easier.  The latest thing we've done is commission PJ to add some features to Remix just for us. They’re in the latest final release - v1.2 - and they’re awesome: “Smart filtering” to avoid invalid selections when you order an album. A simpler version of LabFTP to use with Remix – no asking dumb questions when PJ already knows the answers. Dramatically better handling of Duo albums (here’s a movie , but really, it’s so simple you probably don’t need it). Remix now handles “cut-in” apertures! To View More >>

Mac OSX Lion is exciting new software, but before you install it there are a few things to think about: 1. You'll lose access to all your old PowerPC applications. It's been six years since Apple transitioned to Intel processors, and with the introduction of OSX Lion you will no longer be able to run PowerPC based software. Rosetta kept the old software running pretty smoothly, so you could be in for a few surprises. For starters I had to upgrade Microsoft Office. Never thought of that! 2. Closer to home, you will no longer be able to run Photojunction Retro (yes, there are still a handful of To View More >>

Some of you have noticed that our recently discontinued cover materials have disappeared from PJ Remix, and asked what's going on. Fair enough too. We haven't been as clear about it as we should, and we apologise for not explaining this earlier. Although some cover materials have gone from PJ Remix, it doesn't necessarily mean we can't supply them. In fact our policy is, if possible, to make them available for two years after removing them from our swatch book. So how do you order them in PJ Remix? It's fairly simple... 1) Choose 'Other' in the Cover Material options. 2) Then click 'Add Note' and To View More >>

Hi All, we need a favour. Our newest recruit, Angelique, is taking some time off to have a baby. (Congrats again to Angelique and Pete.) But while Angelique is off on leave we'll need a temporary replacement to help with Photojunction support - answering emails, phone calls, tweets, and Facebook posts (with a dash of blogging). You can work from home (as New Zealand can be a killer commute) and use your own computer. Other than that we'll sort you out with software and a phone to get the job done. Here are a few details: - Monday - Friday, 9am - 3pm EST (If you can't figure out how those hours To View More >>
